A bright shining sunlight. Tall and thin palm trees. The light of the sun was so strong all I could see were the dark silhouettes of the palm trees and of the people around. I couldn’t distinguish any precise features, just shadows and silhouettes. It looked like it was 5 pm of a hot summer day, on an empty beach. I was well aware I was in The Gambia with my boyfriend Muhammad who was telling me he used to go to that beach to play football when he was a child. I was holding in my hand a piece of paper with a name written on it. This name changed everytime I looked at the paper. Then a woman told us we could stay at her house, which was safe, with no risk of infection. But without talking we just walked together towards the ocean.
